Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez
Until I found You by Stephen Sanchez is a cute slow love song, that I think matches perfectly with how Romeo feels after he meets Juliet for the first time. This song repeatedly says “I was lost within the darkness but then I found her, I found you”. This specific lyric is about how someone was in a dark place before someone came into their life, and when they did their world became "brighter”.
Before Romeo met Juliet he was devastated, "With tears augmenting the fresh morning’s dew" (Act 1, Line 135). Poor Romeo, was seen crying after getting rejected multiple times by Rosaline. However, when he sees Juliet in the Capulet feast, these pessimistic feelings take a turn. His feelings are now optimistic and he cant stop admiring Juliet's beauty, "As a rich jewel in an Ethiopian's ear-" (Act 1.5, Line 53), he openly says. Nobody can compare to her, Juliet. She stands out in a crowd.
Some people might think that feeling this way about someone you just met is foolish, in which I agree, but not completely. I feel like describing someone like this when you first see them is unrealistic and it would never happen. I personally feel like, falling in love with someone takes time. You might be interested in someone or like them, but its not love. And its certainly not "love at first sight". However even if it is in fact unrealistic, or even if it is in fact a fantasy, it makes the audience, be in that reality. The way that Romeo describes Juliet, makes the audience feel how Romeo feels, it makes the audience feel that "love at first sight" fantasy. To be able to describe someone the way that Romeo describes Juliet, makes me feel like he is in fact in love with her. Like "love at first sight' might not be a fantasy after all.
